Tuscan High Hardness Roller Turning CNC Lathe

LFM Series

The LFM Series CNC lathes have been developed especially for the machining of large work pieces and meeting the requirements of extreme hardness cutting, high motor loading and harsh machining.

Cast in one piece. Low and extra wide bed up to 1116. There are 4 forcing faces being able to bear heavy loading. The bed is precisely ground.
For extra-large and heavy cutting work pieces, the bed is designed as a box way type. It is able to distribute to weight loading to ensure no vibration during heavy cutting as well as maintain the cutting accuracy.
The material of the carriage is the same as the bed adopting Meehanite cast iron, GB300, and has been electric smelted and stress relieved. Extra wide box way type cross slide and larger contact faces can distribute the cutting completely thereby avoiding tool shaking during high hardness cutting.
The bed has been precisely CNC machined, annealed and proper stress relieved. After induction heating treatment and precisely ground to HRC72-75. The machine is laser inspected to maintain linearity.
   
Z/X Axis Transmitting System  
   
Uses absolute encoder servo motor, which prevents the machine from doing zero return after power off and restarts the machine which saves time from moving out the steady rest. The ball screw uses liner slide to offer best support and eliminate the accuracy allowance due to ball screw dropping.
 
   
Headstock  
   
Especially ideal for heavy loading and heavy work piece machining. Uses extra long shaped headstock design which increases the spindle strength. Equipped with a big 51/77 kw motor and extra large gear provides excellent spindle performance and high torque output.
Headstock is a strong steel cage structure, using Meehanite cast iron and heat and annealing treated to ensure spindle concentricity and the parallelism of bearings.
Uses front double taper roller bearings, heavy loading taper bearings and rear big roller bearings, which are durable for heavy work pieces and are able to maintain high accuracy.
 
   
Carriage  
   
The material of the carriage is the same as the bed adopting Meehanite cast-iron. GB300, and has been electric smelted and stress relieved. Extra wide box way type, cross slide and larger contact faces can distribute cutting completely and will effectively avoid the tool shaking during high hardness cutting.
The contact face with the bead is attached with extra durable Turcite B wipers, which reduces friction and prolongs the durability of the bed.
Cast in one piece, X-axis servo motor base, through precise coupling, transmits the lead screw directly, minimizing backlash and providing the best position accuracy.
Two work stairs are installed on the two sides of the carriage to provide convenience for the operator to set the tooling as well as loading and unloading the work pieces.
The chip guard in front of the turret is movable with the carriage and the cross slide right and left.
 
   

Tailstock

Uses extra rigid tailstock body and 250mm diameter giant quill. Provides excellent support and prevents tooling vibration during heavy cutting
The quill is rotary in the front of the inner quill and rear part uses taper roller bearings. The lubrication is forced to ensure grease enters the bearings.
Equipped with a standard MT#6 centre which moves with the work piece and is suitable for high hardness cutting. Suitable for the steel industry, the aerospace and shipping industries.
The tailstock quill SNCM445 materials and has been micro alloy and high frequency heat treated to ensure the hardness and the strength of the quill.
 
   
Control  
   
Fanuc Oi-TC is the standard control with a user friendly control panel. The control is designed as arm type which allows it to rotate 120degrees and get close to the work piece. It is very convienient for checking the tooling and observing the machine situation.
